Production Supervisor – Recon Helmet Assembly

Job Summary

Provides direction and leadership support for site manufacturing activities to attain safety, cost, quality and delivery goals. Manages available resources and leads associates to perform all departmental tasks in the most cost-effective manner while ensuring a quality product is processed according to schedule. Ensures proper use of all Riddell personnel systems and adherence to all regulatory requirements placed on the plant. Supports company operating plan along with Riddell’s mission, vision and values. First Shift 6 am-2:30 pm.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate (lead by example) mission, vision and values.
  • Develop associates through effective use of the Shop Performance Management Process
  • Meet department objectives (cost, quality, service)
  • Create, maintain, and update SOP’s within the department
  • Maintains fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate support for corporate programs through words and actions.
  • Assist plant leadership in driving and accomplishing key performance indicators.
  • Resolve personnel issues or conflicts.
  • Resolve product, process, and equipment issues.
  • Train and develop experienced employees.
  • Plan and prioritize daily job assignments.
  • Assist in the hiring process and new employee orientation.
  • Perform job related administrative duties (ADP)
  • Search out, recommend, and implement process improvements.
  • Drive 5S, safety, and housekeeping initiatives

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Must have at least 3+ years of direct supervisory experience
  • Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising personnel performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
  • Leads by example.
  • Approximate # of direct reports (if applicable) 15-30 Direct Reports
  • Promote and foster teamwork with direct reports, peers and senior leadership / management

Education and Training:


• High School diploma or Equivalent


  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Basic computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, SAP).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
