The Corporate Apparel Field Sales Representative is responsible for selling our full line-up of stock and custom apparel to companies across all industries including construction, health care, finance, insurance, non-profit organizations, and more. This position requires prompt, knowledgeable and courteous outside sales support to our customers and prospective customers concerning products, availability, services, sale promotions and deliveries. The Corporate Sales Representative is the initial, external sales contact for potential and new customers and the on-going contact with existing customers in promoting new products and providing customer service excellence. In addition, the Sales Representative generates new sales and sales leads, qualifies prospective customers and provides sales management with territorial analysis and forecasting. It is an extremely customer-focused, customer driven position requiring a positive individual who can project confidence in our products, people and processes.  Open locations in Minneapolis, St. Louis and Indianapolis

Essential Functions:

• Establishes new accounts, obtains orders by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on potential sales opportunities in your assigned territory.

• Adjusts content and details of apparel sales presentations through a thorough knowledge our products, specifications that are tailored to an individual customer’s needs.

• Submits clean and accurate apparel orders by referring to current price lists and up to date product literature.

• Attends local, regional, and national trade shows as required.

• Assists Regional Sales Manager(s) in Apparel Training programs as requested.

• Monitors competition by gathering, maintaining, and sharing current market information on the competition’s pricing, products, lead-times, and innovations.

• Consults with Apparel Product Manager to recommend changes or variations in products, promotions, and services, by assessing /evaluating field results and competitive developments in the market.

• Resolves customer issues by investigating problems, developing sound solutions, and preparing reports and recommendations for management approval.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in company educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations we service.

• Maintains historical records by providing all information on the territory and individual customer sales.

• Contributes to team while striving to meet sales goals and accomplishing related sales results; participates in team meetings and share best practices with others.

• This position requires that you possess a valid driver’s license have full access to a reliable insured vehicle to work the assigned territory.

Education and Training:

• Associate Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience Preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field desirable.

• Minimum five (5) years cold call sales experience required.

 Sales experience in the custom apparel and promotional product industry highly preferred.

• Proven track record of teamwork and working well with support resources to attain sales.

• Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• SAP experience desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of lifting up to 50-60 lbs. of product materials.

• Able to ascend/descend stairs carrying 50-60 lb. bags, cartons, etc.

• Vehicle Requirements:

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance and keep on record with the Human Resources Department.

• Must provide own vehicle which is reliable and suitable to perform the required duties and tasks associated with the sales position.
