Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst synthesizes and analyze financial information to advance the Company’s objectives.  This person will prepare financial reports and interpret financial information to management, recommending further courses of action. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Treasury and Risk on financial reporting, internal control, tax, treasury, and risk management policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statement package
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Develop financial models in support of business development, working capital management (including credit and collections), long-term forecasting, etc.
  • Serve as a technical accounting resource (along with Director of Treasury and Risk) to rest of the Finance department and Company
  • Service as financial resource to VP of R&D
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and technical accounting research
  • Complete various financial risk management procedures, including foreign currency hedging analysis
  • Support Director of Treasury and Risk in establishing and implementing financial policies and procedures and maintaining an internal controls infrastructure
  • Contribute to annual budget process
  • Ensure financial information is recorded accurately
  • Responsible for reconciliation of higher risk and more technical general ledger account
  • Relentlessly seek to improve financial processes, reports, and tools to maximize effectiveness and value

    Education and Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related-field required
  • Professional certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) and/or advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Advanced understanding of financial statements, general ledger structures, and basic accounting principles (US GAAP)
